Customer Happiness
At first the customers have five hearts. The hearts will start to disappear if you let the customer wait. Customers will leave if they lose all the hearts. The more hearts the customers have, the more they will pay.

Ordering Items From the Stock
Order items by clicking their icons. Pick up items by clicking them on the table and deliver them to the customers by clicking them. Don’t forget to pick up the coins the customers pay you.

Creating Items With the Oven
Pick up the ingredients and then click the oven to insert them. After the product is ready, pick it up and deliver it to the customer.

Using the Haste Device
Serve customers quickly to collect the wing icons. The wings will charge the haste device. Once you have collected four wings, you can activate the device. You’ll find the speed it provides quite helpful.

More Actions

* Serve candy to improve customer mood.
* Play music by clicking the phonograph. Customers will pay more while listening the tunes.

Tips

* You can carry multiple items at once – you can use this to save a lot of time!

* Remember to collect all the coins customers leave you.

* You can plan Miriel’s actions ahead – just click things as fast as you can and she’ll fill your orders as fast as she can!

* You can queue the item orders – try to keep the table as full as possible all the time.

* Try to keep the table full of products all the time. Guessing what people will order.

* Use right mouse button to cancel an action. Click it twice to cancel two actions.

* The products from the oven are usually more valuable than normal products. You might want to prioritize them.

* As soon as the day starts, start baking. It’s good to have baked products ready before customers order them.

* Sometimes it’s good to delay picking up the coins. That way the counter doesn’t get so crowded.

* Try to collect the golden haste wings to charge the haste device. Activate haste by clicking the device.

* Activate the haste device when you need it the most.

* The Haste Device speeds up your oven too. Haste mode is great for baking!

* Earn combos by serving multiple customers in a row.

* Serve candy to customers to improve their mood.

Witch: Some particularly nasty witches will turn customers in to monkeys! If you’re working on a cake when she comes up, hurry up and give it to the customer before they get turned in to a monkey. After they’ve been transformed, they’ll forget what they wanted and order something new. She likes the Drama TV channel, bottom right button. The monkeys like the News TV channel, top right button.

Anubis: Just like the witch, Anubis will turn customers in to mummies, who will then change their orders. And remember that nobody likes mummies! The mummies like the Comedy TV channel, bottom left button.

Napoleon: Napoleon will demand to be served before anyone else! When Napoleon comes in he’ll put a red slash through the other customer’s bubbles. This means that they cannot be served until Napoleon is appeased.

The Emperor: The Emperor, like Napoleon, will demand to be served before anyone else!

T-Rex: If Roger, the T-Rex, gets angry, he’ll eat a customer! Roger is a hungry guy and if he gets angry he’s more than willing to wait in line a little longer if he gets a snack. Unfortunately, the snacks he chooses are your other customers! Keep this T-Rex happy and it shouldn’t be a problem. He likes the News TV channel, top right button. Regular dinos like the caveman channel, top left button.

Chinese Opera Star: If there is a TV, the Opera Star will change the channel to his favorite show. The TV is powerful in the right hands, but when the Opera Star is around, it’s all in his hands. Serve him first if you want control of your TV back.

Purple Monkeys: If there is more than one purple monkey in line, they will pair! Everyone loves monkeys, and the more the merrier! They like the news TV channel, top right button.

Caveman: The bakery power-ups don’t work on him! He’s got a thick skull so don’t bother trying to trick him with Clubs, the Tao of Cake, or the Crystal Ball. He does, however, like the caveman TV channel and the News, go figure! Top left and right buttons.

Marquis de Cake: This connoisseur of pastries instantly activates the Sugar Rush power-up when he enters. Sweet! He likes the Drama TV channel, bottom right.

The Jade Dragon: This dragon brings good luck and a big appetite! He’s not satisfied with just one cake, he may order two or even three cakes! He likes the comedy channel on the TV, bottom left button.

Egyptian Queen: The Queen loves Evans family cakes and will always order two of them! Usually it’s one per customer per visit, but for her, I think we can make an exception. She likes the Drama TV channel, bottom right button.

Unicorn: News, top right button

I’m missing a few of the favorite TV channels… I can’t remember from three worlds ago lol, so if you can help me fill in the blanks, please comment on this post. When I’m through with my current game, I plan to run through it again with all my upgrades, and I’ll fill in the blanks then.

Additional basic tips for Cake Mania 3

A freezer can store cakes overnight. After the bakery closes, leave some money on the counter so the level does not end; then fill up the freezer with cakes for people to order the next day. The freezer becomes available as you upgrade your cake display.

First-come-first-serve isn’t always the best policy. There are many customers that will come in and shake things up (Napoleon, Witches, Anubis, etc), if you see one come in, it is best to start working on their cakes first. Also, if a customer is ordering a simpler cake than the rest of the people in line, serve them first in order to get more customers in to the bakery quickly.

Ancient China level

This is probably one of the more difficult worlds in this game, due to the Opera Singer. You have to get the Opera Singer out of the store as fast as you can, if you rely on the TV to keep your customers happy.

The Opera singer will change the channel on the TV to the drama channel every time you click it, and as far as I can tell, he’s the only one in this world that likes it!

The Emperor is greedy. He will demand that you serve him first, indicated by a blue order bubble. He’s another one you have to get out of the store fast. If you don’t give him a menu, he will stop you from helping anyone else by putting a red line through their order bubble. Once you give him a menu, he’ll take the red lines away, but only if you don’t make him wait too long.

The Jade Dragons are hungry critters. They will order two, sometimes three cakes, ordering again only after they’ve received their first. Sometimes they even pay for a cake, only to order another one or two. Don’t be surprised to see another menu pop up after he’s paid for his cake! (They love the comedy channel on the TV, and so do the other male customers.)

The Gisha girls like the CaveMan channel on the TV, top left button.

Special Bonus Item: The Tao of Cake
The Yin-Yang symbol on this level can be clicked once per round, and has the effect of keeping all the customers in line at the time you click it happy. Their hearts will temporarily remain where they are, so get busy serving them while it lasts! I tend to use this when I’ve got a counter full of customers.

Don’t forget to use the special bonuses that you earn by beating the mini games! There’s one that will stop time (the briefcase) and the other will speed you up (the shoes)… these are lit up when you’ve earned them, on the bottom of your screen.

Customer types and tips for Cake Mania 3

Cake Mania 3 has 6 different locations; Ancient China, Merry ol’ England, Ancient Egypt, Stone Age, Revolutionary France, and a surprise 6th world after you’ve completed all the rest. Each location, or “world” has 15 levels, for a total of 90 levels. Perhaps the most overlooked new feature of this game is the fact that you can now move your kitchen appliances around. This is really helpful in setting up your game to make a huge difference in your efficiency! The order in which you visit each world is completely up to you, but once you’ve started a world, there’s no turning back.

Although you do have the option to “restart” levels, you cannot “replay them” after you’ve chosen to continue… so if you’re going for all “Super” stars of achievement… restart before you continue, or face starting the game over!

There are over 30 new customer types in this game, with a few surprises thrown in to the mix. Each world has one really “bad guy” that will make it almost impossible for you to complete the level without paying him/her the respect they deserve! To offset the increased difficulty of this game, and the new “bad guys”, you are given a bonus item in each world that’s designed to give you the help you need to make it through. This adds a great balance to a difficult game, making the challenge fun, instead of uber frustrating.

Another addition to this game is the “Sugar Rush”. Unlike the Diner Dash games, “chaining” events doesn’t earn you extra bonus cash, instead, performing actions in groups of three will gain you an “automatic” bonus, where your cakes, and preparations happen instantly. (Compare this to the “Fiesta” mode in the new Turbo Fiesta game.) The first time you successfully perform three identical actions (decorate three cakes in a row, pick up three tips in a row, etc.), a progress bar appears at the top of the screen; when that bar is full, you’ve achieved “Sugar Rush”, and everything you do is completed instantly. This lasts for a limited time, and then you can start the progress bar all over again, to achieve an unlimited amount of Sugar Rush bonuses per level.

The graphics have been upgraded to include “high detail”, and 3D options that you can turn off if your computer’s graphics card can’t handle them. A visit to the “options” page is always a good idea. If you have any graphics issues at all, I suggest turning these features off, and restarting the game. Doing so won’t change the game play at all, it will just look a little different, and if you were having issues, it will look a LOT better! LOL I didn’t have any issues with this game at all, so have played it with all the graphics options on, in the “windowed” mode.

Each world has it’s own music, which for the most part is directly associated with the theme of that world. There was only one world where I found the music to be annoying to the point of frustration, so I simply went to the options page to turn it down, almost muted completely. Since the sound FX and music are adjustable separately, this had no impact on game play at all. I often turn off music in time management games because the frenzied tempo of the music is meant to stress you out!

Because there is so much that is new and different about this game, I’m going to start you off with some basic tips (most of which will work in any Cake Mania game), and then I’ll list some specifics for each of the five first worlds. I’ll be updating this post as I perfect my strategy, so this is one you may want to bookmark!

Basic Tips for all levels

Right click a cake while you have another in your hand, and they will trade places. Learning to master this shortcut will change the way you play this game, for the better!

Chain events three in a row to fill up the Sugar Rush bar. Sugar Rush is great when you have a lot of customers with complicated orders, as everything is made as soon as you order it. This power up can be activated numerous times per level… as often as you can fill that blue bar at the top of the screen, so try to do things in threes; hand out three menus in a row, hand out three cakes in a row, pick up three tips in a row, frost three cakes in a row, etc.

People with double orders gain hearts after you give them their first item. Use this to keep them happy while you serve others with only one order.

Customers that order a cake and a drink gain hearts after you give them one of their orders, use that to make them wait longer while you serve others.

Use your TV. Buy one if you haven’t yet. The TV will add hearts to your customers, keeping them happy longer. Each customer type has a favorite channel, and will only gain hearts if you hit the right one. Remember which channel works for each customer, and you’ve got it made! Beware: There are customers that stubbornly change the channel to their favorite anytime you click the TV, so you’ll need to use your cookie treats to keep others happy while this customer is in your shop. (Ancient China has one of these bad guys!)

Taking phone orders can give you extra money you may need. Remember that NOT answering the phone does not penalize you, so don’t be afraid not to answer it if you’re already too frazzled.

Play the mini games if you haven’t done so… you earn extra money for upgrades through them. Don’t rush through the mini games… the better you do, the more money you get… restart, or redo it before you finish because you only get one chance at this easy money.

If your store is about to close, pick up your tips fast to get as many people in the door as possible… more customers means more money.

Customers with menus can be given a cookie to increase their hearts. Give them a cookie without clicking them again so that you don’t give them a menu, and finish the other customer’s orders. this will help you chain three things more to get sugar rush.

The music and/or sound effects is designed to stress you out. If it effects you in this way, go to options and turn it off.

Upgrades:
You can use the arrow keys on every pop up in the upgrade store to “skip” an upgrade level if you have the money… you don’t have to buy the purple one before you buy the silver one, for example.

Cake toppers can add $15 – 40 per cake, so save up to buy one or two asap!

If you only have one oven, and one froster, this will limit your customer’s choices, making it easier to handle their requests. Combine this with a TV, and the faster shoes from the store, and you’ve got a winning combination that can easily get you through the first three worlds while you save money for the “Gold” upgrades.

I guess that’s enough for now… I’ll delve into the individual worlds more later. I didn’t realize how long this post was already! When all is said and done, this is a great time management game! Lots to do, and more challenging than others that have come out recently. So very worth the $6.99 that our Game Club members pay for the full version!

The Tip

When you’re producing something in one of the buildings, you can click the building to make it finish it’s work faster. This will make it spit out your products faster, saving you time!

The Warning

Don’t click the buildings so much that they turn red! If your building turns red, stop clicking! If you continue, it will blow up, and you’ll have to buy the building all over again.

So, in essence, pay attention! Blowing up your buildings by trying to make them produce too fast winds up being a little counter-productive.

Sure, it sounds simple, but if you’ve never noticed that clicking on the buildings makes them finish producing faster, it may help you finish a level faster, giving you more “gold” medals.

Remember, if you’re trying to collect all the awards, you’ll need to finish each level in the time shown at the gold level when you begin each new screen. Luckily, Farm Frenzy 2 (just like the original game) is the type that you can go back, and replay the levels as often as you like.

It’s fun buying all the upgrades to your buildings and equipment, then going back to the beginning levels to compete for gold. It’s also a lot easier with the upgrades, and the tip listed above! Have fun with this, I’ll write more as I progress… the Farm Frenzy games are by far my favorite! Especially since I get to buy them at the game club price of $6.99 each!
